Throughout our time in Achill, we have had wonderful support from so many – the people of Achill, our proud diaspora around the world, businesses both local and regional, plus from politicians both close to home and nationally. Since coming in to existence in 2016, we have grown to the point where we welcomed over 30,000 visitors in the past year. Now is the time for us to enter another period of growth…and you can play your part in helping us by being part of our journey.
Our site is currently closed to visitors while we significantly expand the aquarium. This will mean:
– the size of the aquarium will increase by roughly 50% as we move from having 16 to 23 tanks
– our capacity each day for visitors will double
– new jobs will be created for 2-4 local people
As a community-based organisation we rely heavily on donations both through grant-funding as well as individual and commercial donations. This is where you come in.
If you want to be a part of our journey, we are offering a four-tiered donation package.
- Gold Donation – you will have an engraved plaque on our wall at Achill Experience
- Silver Donation – your family name will be included on the Achill Experience website
- Bronze Donation – your name will be included on the Achill Experience website
- Digital Donation – your name will be included on our special Digital Donation wall
All monies donated will go towards the costs of this major upgrade to Achill’s number 1 indoor attraction, and you can rest assured of your own contribution in the development and growth of this significant community asset.
